The NB201611-1HFA2 is a rugged weatherproof enclosure that is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. Constructed from molded halogen free self extinguishing fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP), it is well suited for high temperature or corrosive environments. The integral mounting flange allows it to be wall mounted as well as on a flat surface without the need for extra mounting hardware. The fully gasketed lid features a stainless steel continuous hinge and stainless steel quick release latches with padlock hasps. The light grey color of the NB201611-1HFA2 is cleaner, cooler and aesthetically pleasing. Users can enjoy the physical benefits of better heat reflection and better UV resistance due to the lighter color. The contoured body provides an attractive and contemporary appearance.

120 VAC Mounting Plate with Lightning Protection

The aluminum mounting plate features standard surge protected duplex 120 VAC outlets and a terminal block for easy hook up to the externally provided line power. In addition, the unit can accept up to two optional bulkhead-mount N-Type lightning protectors to protect the coaxial cable runs.

Hot and Cold Environments

To help ensure trouble-free operation of electronic equipment, proper operating temperatures inside an enclosure needs to be maintained. With the built-in Heater and Cooling system, internal temperatures can be better maintained. This model is ideal in Hot and Cold environments.
The NB201611-1HFA2 includes two thermostat-controlled 200W (400W total) heaters. The heaters do not require the use of any of the AC outlets, leaving them all available for your equipment. No extra room for the heaters is required since they are mounted underneath the plate.

For cooling, the NB201611-1HFA2 includes two thermostat-controlled 16.4W (32.8W total) fans. The high airflow, low noise fans allow warm air to be actively pushed out the top vent while the second fan on the lower vent actively pulls in outside air into the enclosure. Filters for both ports prevent foreign objects or debris from entering the enclosure. Like the heaters, the cooling fans do not require the use of any of the AC outlets, leaving them all available for your equipment.

User Adjustable Thermostat

The 1HFA2 series features an adjustable thermostat that incorporates two separate thermostats, allowing the independent control of heating and cooling. The thermostat provides a temperature range of +14°F to +122°F for the heating and +68°F to +176°F for the cooling systems. With a switching difference of 12°F ±7°F tolerance.

The heat thermostat features a Normally Closed (NC) circuit. When the temperature rises to the temperature set on the heat adjustment dial the circuit opens which turns off the heater. When the temperature falls below the temperature set on the heat adjustment dial the circuit closes which turns on the heater.

The cooling thermostat features a Normally Open (NO) circuit. When the temperature rises to the temperature set on the cooling adjustment dial the circuit closes which turns on the cooling fan. When the temperature falls below the temperature set on the cooling adjustment dial the circuit opens which turns off the cooling fan.

Recommended Temperature Setting for the Heater Portion of the thermostat should only be between 14o to 40oF
Recommended Temperature Setting for the Fan Portion of the thermostat should only be between 80o to 120oF
Setting the Heater setting too high and the Fan setting too low can result in a conflict between the two halves wherein the unit might try to continue to heat while simultaneously trying to cool it.
